To, Shri Narendra Modi and Smt Sushma Swaraj: Prime Minister of India and External Affairs Minister of India Subject: Madheshi’s injustice in India Dear Honorable Shri Narendra Modi and Smt Sushma Swaraj: This is to bring to your notice two human crisis directly created by Nepal Government; (1) Non-performance in post-earthquake rehabilitation and (2) Extreme suppression during Madhesis protest. This is to bring to your notice element of discrimination originating in India against Madheshis. (1) Indian Government welcoming racial Nepal PM Mr. KP Oli (2) Selective discrimination against Madheshis in Indian Army (3) Discouraging Madheshis in India. We appreciate the support Indian government has extended to the last year’s Madhesh civil rights protest. Lately, it appears Indian Government is standing with Nepal government that killed more than 55 people on street in last 6 months. Most of the people were killed in cold blood receiving bullets in chest or head while having no threat to security. Indian Government welcoming Nepalese PM Mr. KP Oli in New Delhi is insult to the peace, justice and democracy. Further disturbing the news is that India Government extending USD 2 billion aid to Nepal, despite having discriminating bureaucracy structure dominated by selective group and poor record in corruption . Honorable Shri Narendra Modi and Smt Sushma Swaraj: Why there is Gorkha regiment in India, whereas there is no Nepal regiment or Madheshi regiment? Selective promotion of Nepalese Gurkha race by India is providing example back in Nepal to deny Madheshis entry into the already skewed Nepal’s government structure. While Nepal is becoming unsafe, Madheshis are trying to leverage Food-Blood (Roti-Beti) relationship across border. However, Indian Government lacks broad policy to accommodate Madheshis, who has been protecting border securities against all odds from Nepal government for centuries. We came to know about arrest of 21 Madheshis in New Delhi while they were protesting peacefully in front of Nepal Embassy. Arrested people were locked whole night in a bus standing in the middle of New Delhi traffic. We request you and Indian Government to protect freedom of speech. We believe, India plays a major role in Nepal, which committed $2bn in 2015 and also directly helps Nepal Police and Army with funds. We appeal you to request Nepal government to respect universal human rights.
